Filmmaker SIDNEY LUMET is dead. This notorious Cinematic Asshole received an honorary Oscar in 2005 after finding himself unable to win an Academy Award based on the merits of his own directing ability. Thanks to the work of Mr. Lumet and the release of his 1957 film 12 ANGRY MEN, the world now suffers under the likes of Supreme Court Justice Sonia M. Sotomayor, who remains a noted follower of this horrid film.
LUMET died at his New York home, and while his Stepdaughter told the New York Times that "lymphoma" was to blame, sources tell the Cinematic Assholes that God was the actual killer.
Sidnet Lumet was 86 years old. His corpse is 6 hours old.

Connections with cancer survivors drives Baker students to help find a cure
With two members of the Baker Elementary family diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, albeit in remission, students collected an all-time school high total of $2,509.83 to help the Pennies for Patients drive. Pennies for Patients is an annual fundraiser for the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society to raise money to help find cures for blood cancers.
